Arg.

I have been trying  like mad to upload some videos here and am having no luck.  Hence, no updates in a while.

I will try to be better!

Quickly...  Syd has been enjoying several camps this summer:  Gymnastics, Science and now Musical Theatre.  Foster is a handful... but oh so cute.  Walking around and talking a bit!  Eating everything in site.  Andy is working a ton, still, on the Pre.  I am taking care of everyone!!!

I had a fantastic birthday last week and am looking forward to Andy's next week!

He's One!

Foster had his first birthday!  We made it!!

We celebrated on his birthday... Friday, May 8th and then again on Saturday with a family party.  A friend of mind made an awesome cake for him... picture attached!

The biggest news:  Foster took his first steps on his first birthday!!  WooHoo!

We also had a great mothers day... pretty low key, but nice. Went to the park, payed, etc.  A good day for all of us, I think!

lots of stuff!

Life has been pretty crazy around here.   Andy's been working a ton.  I'm beta testing the Pre (and loving it!), Sydney has school, softball, cheerleading and gymnastics and Foster...  Well, Foster is VERY busy.  He's exploring the world, eating lots of different foods, oh and he's been expressing his opinion. A lot.

Sydney is still loving kindergarten and is enjoying softball as well.  This morning she wasn't feeling well, so we missed today's game.  She was feeling better by later today, hence the basketball shot.  She was shooting baskets with Andy when I got done feeding Foster before bed... so I had to get in there right away and go over her form with her.  She responded really well and was even "following through" by the time we were done.  She's a very determined girl!

Foster is growing a ton (today a guy thought he was 2 1/2 rather than the 10 months he is) and eating a lot.  He's pretty much off baby food and on table food these days.  He's also saying "ball", "mama", "dada" and "Issy" (sissy) fairly regularly.  He will also give you a high-five. He's learned what "no" means, even if he doesn't always listen.  :-)

Andy's working away on the Pre and I am doing my part to help by doing some beta testing.  So far, I am preferring it to the iPhone.

Tons!

We have lots going on around here.  Syd started softball last week and we'll have two games a week and one practice a week until early May.  Whew!  That's going to be tough.  She is reading so much lately, too.  Today at book browse at school she read "Oh, the Thinks You Can Think" to me.  She read the whole thing to me.

Foster is also doing well.  He is pretty much off baby food and onto "table food".  Syd was much later in this area, mostly because I was hesitant to give her chunky food.  Foster is ALL OVER IT. Tonight he ate his first dinner completely prepared by me - chicken (slow cooked), carrots and potatoes (all slow cooked).  He ate it right up. He also had an entire week where he slept through the night - but it ended after 8 nights.

Both kids have the beginnings of a cold, so here's hoping it is *just* a cold for both.

Andy is working tons lately... we're just waiting for the Pre to be released (well, he's not just 'waiting', he's working very hard).

I am just keeping my head above water.  Foster is a handful these days and takes constant supervision... he's great, though!

Aquarium and First Softball Practice

Andy was fortunate enough to take the morning off yesterday and we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  We used to take Sydney there quite often when she was little and haven't as much since Foster was born (and she's in kindergarten now, of course!).  Foster seemed to enjoy the aquarium as much as Sydney did when she was his age.  We all had a blast.

Today was Sydney's first softball practice... she did great!  She was really hustling out there on the field and had big smiles out there.  I am excited to see how she does this sea

Pics!

Things have been a little crazy around here.  We were going to go sledding with some friends in Arnold, CA this week but were unable to go because Foster has bronchitis.  So, we've been stuck around the house this week.  Sydney is off school for "ski week" and it has been a long week!  We're hanging in there, though!

Foster is all over the place these days. Crawling all around, pulling up on things (and then promptly falling) and just getting into mischief in general.  Sydney is awesome.  She spent the night at Mark & Lisa's last night (a consolation for not getting to go sledding) and she moved up a level in gymnastics - Rec Level 1!!

Congrats to Dad today - 21 years!!  :-)

We had the kids' pictures taken a few weeks ago.  Here are a few of the favorites!!

He Crawls!!

I don't have  a picture yet and haven't had a chance to upload the video... but FOSTER IS CRAWLING!!!

He isn't all over the place yet, but has the motions down.

Sydney also celebrated her 100th day of school today.  She drew a cookie on a piece of paper and glued on 100 mini chocolate chips for her "100 things".  It was very cute.

On Friday, Sydney has planned "Syd's Club".  She's invited a few friends over and has activities planned for the afternoon.  Which means, I need to clean.

MLK Day

Today we didn't have much going on.  Andy had to work and Syd was off of school.  So after Foster's nap we packed up and went to Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz.  Traffic was awful and by the time we got there Foster's face was covered in dried snot (nice, eh?) from the crying he did on the way over the mountains.

From October - January monarch butterflies hang out in the eucalyptus grove at this beach.  We caught the tail end of them, saw around 100 butterflies.  It was still pretty cool.  Then we hit the sand and water for a bit before heading home.  It was a nice afternoon, overall.

We don't have much else going on these days.  Andy's working hard at getting the Pre ready to ship. I'm trying to keep my head above water with the kiddies.  Foster has been working on cutting his top front teeth for weeks now and it is painful for all of us.  Hopefully they will make their appearance soon.  He has also been on the verge of crawling for several weeks now... soon, I'm sure!

The Pre...

Well, the word is finally out.  Andy has been working his butt off on the new Palm Pre.  His team(s) worked on the operating system, which everyone now knows is called WebOS.

We are very proud of Andy and all the work he's done on the phone.  It is getting lots of good press and we are very hopeful that it will, in fact, turn Palm around!

Ears Pierced!

Sydney finally convinced me to let her get her ears pierced!  We were at Foster's doctor's office and they pierced ears there, so we had it done.

Immediately afterwards Sydney yelled "I DIDN'T CRY!!!"

She's growing up so fast...

First Cheerio

A few days before Christmas, when he was still well, we gave him a cheerio to try.  He did great and now he eats them reguarly!

Happy New Year!

We are all doing ok around here.  Foster is still recovering from his cold as am I (I don't think I mentioned that I had it, also).  In fact, on New Year's Eve he woke up at 10:30pm coughing like mad and was coughing so hard he gagged and threw up all over me!  Happy New Year!!  :-)  Such is life with a baby, right?

Craig left New Year's Eve in the morning.  Andy drove him to SJC at 6am and he made it to DSM by mid-afternoon our time.  We had a great time with him.  We had guests staying with us from Dec 22nd - Dec 31st, with one night of over-lap (Mike and Craig).  We really enjoyed having them both here.  Syd had a blast with Uncle Goggy, as evidenced by the photos!

Andy is working like mad these days.  Palm is making a big announcement at CES next week - so look for them in the news on Jan 8th (also our moms' birthdays!).  I will be a single mother from Jan 7th - Jan 11th.  Not looking forward to that, but Andy will enjoy the down-time the weekend after the announcement hanging out with Deb & Bill.  We will miss him, though!
